Dietician who bluffed her way into senior NHS role struck off for ‘deplorable’ lies

  • Dietician Ifenyinwa Chizube Ndulue-Nonso has been banned from practising after lying to secure a senior role at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
  • Ms Ndulue-Nonso claimed extensive knowledge in various health conditions in her application but was found to lack basic anatomical and medical understanding.
  • Colleagues raised concerns after she demonstrated ignorance about fundamental concepts, such as the function of the gallbladder or what coeliac disease is.
  • A misconduct tribunal deemed her conduct “deplorable” and her dishonesty “premeditated and sustained”, painting a “misleading” picture of her abilities.
  • The Health and Care Professions Tribunal Service panel concluded that a striking off order was necessary to protect the public and maintain confidence in the profession.
