Joe Lycett opens up on sexuality after fans ‘surprised’ he had baby with woman

Joe Lycett has opened up about his sexuality and fatherhood in a new interview with Fearne Cotton.

Speaking with the presenter in an episode of her Happy Place podcast released on Monday (24 August), the comedian, 38, spoke about feeling "caught up" in his "identity as a public persona.”

After Cotton described how they both have to be "completely themselves" in their jobs, Lycett said:

"Lots of people were surprised when I had a child with a woman, because they were like, 'But you're the gay man'... I've never said that I'm gay, because I've never been gay."

"Because I'm camp and I do innuendo and all those sorts of things, that people have this idea of what that is. And then I was like, "Well, have I, do I have an idea of what I am, actually?"
